Corporate Policies
The following Corporate Policies were revised as of March 5, 2025.
Geography
In order to create a StogieHub user profile and use the Services, you must be a US resident. Geographical expansion will be considered post-launch.
Currency
All StogieHub transactions must be completed in US dollars.
Acceptable Payment Methods
The following payment methods may be used to purchase items on StogieHub:
- PayPal
- Credit Card
- Debit Card
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
Prohibited Items
Users are strictly prohibited from listing the following items for sale on StogieHub:
- Any and all tobacco products, including, but not limited to, cigars
- Paraphernalia not associated with cigars
- Any products that do not fall within the cigar accessory categories outlined on the StogieHub website
Age Requirement for Site Usage
As listings on StogieHub require you to enter into our User Agreement, we require all users to be at least 18 years old.
Abuse by Buyers
Buyers must pay for all purchased items and may not misuse feedback or payment dispute processes. Please refer to our User Agreement for the terms and conditions of using our Service.
Non-Paying Buyer
Buyers must make payment for items purchased on StogieHub within forty-eight (48) hours. If the buyer doesn’t pay within this timeframe, the seller can cancel the order and an unpaid cancellation will be recorded on the buyer’s account and will negatively impact the buyer’s user rating.
Fee Avoidance Policy
Efforts to avoid the payment of StogieHub transaction fees are not allowed, whether intentional or not. Sellers attempting to avoid StogieHub transaction fees create risk for themselves and a poor experience for buyers. Offering to buy or sell items outside of StogieHub is not permitted. Buyers and sellers are not permitted to share contact information, including email addresses and phone numbers, prior to, or after, completing a transaction on StogieHub. Contacting another StogieHub member to discuss moving a purchase off of the StogieHub platform exposes both the buyer and seller to fraud risk. Sellers are prohibited from activities that avoid StogieHub transaction fees, intentionally or not. This includes:
- Making offers to buy or sell items outside of StogieHub
- Linking or promoting sites, items, or catalogs that can be used to order items outside of StogieHub
- Requiring a buyer to make additional purchases or to agree to terms outside of the listing
- Charging excessive shipping and additional fees not already included in the price of the item, or passing seller fees on to the buyer
- Listing items outside of the correct category
- Falsely canceling orders or refusing payment at the end of a successful transaction
- Changing the information in a listing to sell a different item instead of listing a new item
Sellers are responsible for paying transaction fees for all sales made using the StogieHub platform, even if the sale terms are finalized, or payment is made outside of StogieHub.
Feedback Policy
Our policy is to ensure that feedback is meaningful for both buyers and sellers. We do not allow feedback that is harmful, inappropriate or irrelevant as this reduces trust between buyers and sellers and undermines the feedback system. We recommend that sellers reply to negative or neutral feedback with a thoughtful, well-written response that demonstrates how much you care about the buyer’s experience.
Identity
Buyers and sellers must be individuals. Stores and storefronts are not permitted on StogieHub. To maintain the safety of our community, all StogieHub members are required to accurately represent their identity when using the platform.
Inappropriate Comments
Threats, offensive language and hate speech are not allowed on StogieHub and will not be tolerated. Members are not permitted to use threats or language that we consider to be abusive, hateful or offensive.
Identity Policy
When you register to use the StogieHub platform, you are agreeing to the terms of our User Agreement and our identity policies, as follows:
- Members are not permitted to separate accounts for buying and selling transactions
- All users must be at least eighteen (18) years old
- To make sure all transactions go smoothly, you are required to provide up-to-date and accurate contact information, including name, address, email address and phone number
User Rules
By becoming familiar with and following our corporate policies, you’ll help us maintain a safe environment for all users and be able to avoid interruptions that might come from
inadvertent violations of our rules.
Privacy
We collect your personal data when you use our Services, create a new account, provide us with information via a web form, add or update information in your account or otherwise interact with us.
Your personal data will be stored by us and our service providers in accordance with applicable data protection laws to the extent necessary for processing purposes. Subject to possible restrictions under national law, as a data subject, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability with regard to your personal data. In addition, you can withdraw your consent and object to our processing of your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests.
We protect your personal data through technical and organizational security measures to minimize risks associated with data loss, misuse, unauthorized access and unauthorized disclosure and alteration.
Direct Communication Between Users
In support of providing a smooth transaction process, we know it is important for users to be able to communicate easily with each other. However, to keep everyone in our community safe we have guidelines and policies that cover how you communicate. We don’t allow our members to:
- Make offers to buy and sell outside of the StogieHub platform
- Send spam
- Threaten others, or use profanity or hate speech
- Exchange any personal information, including email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, social media links or accounts, or other contact information
- Send viruses, malicious code, or software through our direct messaging service
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, update or replace our Corporate Policies by posting the updated policies on the StogieHub website. Your continued use of the website after any such changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new policies.
